Motorola is expected to introduce at least two new mid-range smartphones in the second half of the year, the Moto G5S and its bigger Plus brother.
Since we’ve been given the opportunity to admire both smartphones thanks to the leaked press renders, but we did not have the chance to see them in action. Well, not really in action, but we can definitely get a better idea of what’s to come from a live picture rather than a press render.
But we’re here to serve your news needs, so we’re pleased to be able to show you the first live pictures of the Moto G5S Plus (assuming they’re not fake). Design-wise, the Moto G5S Plus is clearly not a departure from the usual pattern design that Motorola is known for.
The back side of the phone looks like metal, but we can’t vouch for it, although it would line up with the previous rumors claiming the Moto G5S Plus will feature a metal backplate and a plastic frame.
A dual camera is shown in one of the pictures as well, but we’re denied a view of the Home button, so we will have to rely on the latest rumors that mention a fingerprint sensor position on the front side of the phone.
The prototype unit caught on camera runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and has a weird model number: Moto G (4) NZAE130706.
Based on previous reports, the Moto G5S Plus is going to pack a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution, along with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Now the only thing that remains is for Motorola to make these mid-range devices official.
